Project Implicit
As part of the Harvard Consortium, Dr. Banaji's work has continued into 2007 and has resulted in several noteworthy achievements including, but not limited to, additional grant support, graduate student awards to study the development of prejudice, honors and fellowships to Dr. Banaji, a wealth of publications, invited addresses & workshops, and presentations at academic conferences. Within three years of the initial TMF funding, Dr. Banaji was surely successful in seeding the academic research on the origins of implicit prejudice that had not existed previously. In 2007, Dr. Banaji aims to utilize the knowledge learned from her Project Implicit web presence largely with adults, and meld it with the basic laboratory research on young children. She aims to create and unveil a website that will provide tests of prejudice and exercises for learning about tolerance for children exclusively. The main idea is to unveil a website to teach children about "the stuff" that is in their minds of which they may not be aware. Through this experience, Dr. Banaji intends to develop modules of teaching children about prejudice and its effects, and the possibilities that come with tolerance. Harvard University
